In November 2018, Steve Bannon, previously Donald Trump's chief strategist, was in the UK preparing for a address at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The speech was disrupted by numerous demonstrators, and Bannon, scheduled to travel that evening, told Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Activists delayed speech I doubt I can catch the plane we are heading to heathrow".

Epstein replied: "There. Is a gulf air that leaves at 950 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon replied: "U r an amazing helper".

These messages were released on this week together with more than 20,000 pages from the estate of Epstein, the late convicted sex offender.

The release by the Congressional committee includes an text conversation where Bannon's identity is withheld. Media outlets has been able to establish his identity by cross-referencing the dates, events, and places referenced.

For example, Epstein talks about chartering a plane from the UK for the unnamed individual in the chat, and offers praise their "address at Oxford". Bannon participated in the News Xchange conference on November 14, and gave the talk at the Oxford Union on November 16.

Bannon, who is not accused of any misconduct, did not reply on the inquiry.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon served as the president's key advisers in the lead-up to the 2016 election and during the initial phase of his presidency, but resigned from the White House in August 2017.

He has admitted he was producing a film about Epstein before his death and allegedly has approximately 15 hours of footage. In a recording of his podcast recently, he stated: "We're going to publish the series, the multi-part documentary, in the coming year - at the start of next year."

But the newly released documents indicate Bannon's connection with Epstein went further than documenting his life, with the convicted paedophile at times seeming to act like a aide.

A short time prior to the conversation in which Epstein appeared to have arranged a private plane for Bannon, Epstein said: "how does it feel to have the highest-paid booking agent in the world ".

Bannon thanked him: "U r pretty good assistant", to which Epstein responded "Massages. Not Included".

Discussing a visit to "Abu Dhabi" in another message, Epstein told Bannon: "I will ensure you're well looked after."

UK Politics Mentioned in Messages

The published messages also reveal Bannon and Epstein talking about British political matters in 2018.

Earlier on the day of his speech at the Oxford Union, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I became involved in the Brexit thing this day with Farage, Johnson and Mogg."

Then, in what appears to be a reference to Theresa May, the struggling British leader at the time, he continued: "They are attempting to move on. may today / tomorrow…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "I think remaining as long as you can in the UK. Best-- so others get the commitment of your follow-up."

Soon after, Epstein asked: "Will Theresa may remain in power". Bannon answered: "It seems unlikely BUT the people here have little courage" and added "Johnson ; Gove; Rees Mogg; David Davis - someone has to take charge".

May was eventually toppled in 2019 after withstanding two votes of no confidence in late 2018.

A representative for the political party informed the BBC: "Farage has never been in a meeting with Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Johnson." And there is nothing to suggest such a meeting took place.

The Congress will vote next week on whether the justice department should release all its records related to its probe into Epstein, who passed away in jail in 2019.

Interest in Epstein's relationships with powerful figures was reignited recently after the release of over 20,000 documents from his archives.

Some of those referenced the former president, who has repeatedly denied any impropriety. The leader was a friend of Epstein's for years, but claims they parted ways in the 2000s, a couple of years prior to Epstein was initially charged.
